Gimbal Bearing ?

I have a 1991 mercruiser 3.0 with a alpha 1 outdrive,where is the Gimbal bearing and how do i grease this i hear its very important.<br /> Many thanks

It's Behind the Motor,+ Ahead of the Drive........<br /><br />There Should be a Zert on the Transom Shield, About 2 o'clock on the Starboard side,... Right up tight to the transom...........

The drive shaft from the engine to the outdrive goes through this bearing. Be sure you grease it each year! Most of the newer drives have the external grease fitting. I have an OMC, so I pull my every year to grease the u-joints too.<br /><br />-Dave
