gimbal bearing

i have a volvo 4.3 (97) with cobra sx, how do i go about greasing the gimbal bearing????? i assume i can do this without removing the drive??????<br /><br />thanks<br /><br />simon

You can grease it without pulling the drive, see picture for zirk location. But you also need to pull the drive at least yearly and check the bellows for water or gearlube, U-joints, and alignment.<br /><br />

Simon,<br /><br />The advantage of removing the drive is that as you push the grease in through the nipple you can see when all the old grease has been removed and clean it from the area then rotate the gimbal bearing by hand and repeat. You can do this until all the old grease is removed and the bearing is packed with new grease. <br /><br />Regards<br /><br />Chris
