You shoudnt have to do it but ..Some motor monts let you do this. Look at the mont. If it has short pole (1"thick and 4" or 5" long) with a clamp around the pole then they are adjustable.Losen the clamp bolt,slide (may need a little help,hammer) then retighten. If they are not you will have to unbolt your motor monts from the stinger,move, then redrill new holes to rebolt the motor mont back to the stringer.
