um no Bruce theres pots , pans and the car , but she works her butt off, sent lots of money to her mom for medical care when her mom was dying, is the only one who would take care of burying her ex, and has had my heart for a long time, well and we do live together, so yeah she gets what she wants, which isnt much

I really like the 2012 Kia Sorento (w/ 16K :) V6 AWD ) we just got for the Admiral. It even has 3rd row seats, if there are kids under the age of 7 or 8. I doubt even a small teenager would want to contort just to get to the 3rd row, let alone ride back there, but the seats are there. We'll never use them.

Came w/ balance of 50K/5yr new car warranty (changes from 100K/10yr w/ a 2nd owner) and Kia service (which as a 2nd owner, it's impressive to include road side assistance at all).

Ran it 1200mi +/- over the weekend, I like it before, even more so now.

If you don't need the full SUV, one vehicle that I like is the Ford Flex. I haven't owned one, but it's a car that's been on my radar a while. Lotsa' room, pretty good service record and I like the looks of 'em.

I have a Sonata, and although its not a SUV, I've been very impressed with Hyundai/Kia in their current state and direction. Don't be afraid of the turbo 4....the 2.0 in my Sonata runs! It's no sportscar, but 274 hp scoots. They have the same motor in the smaller SUVs.

x2 on the Kia Sorrento. Only get the ford stuff if she likes cars that feel like a video game.

DW has a Toyota Venza. Had it for 2yrs now. But get the 4cyl for fuel economy. The 6cyl loves the gas. I know this because her brother has the 4cyl so I have a direct comparison. Lots of comfort for 5, plus room in the back for cargo, bags etc.

When we were looking we also looked at the Ford Edge. The ride difference made it for us. The Ford ride more like a truck. The Toyota ride more like a car.

Honda CRV is a good choice. MPG isn't the best but a good engine. Only comes in 4 cylinder. My GF has the 2006 Honda Element AWD which is basically the same car underneath the sheet metal. Nice that it doesn't have a timing belt that needs changing.

hows the AWD systems on these? I know you have to keep tires in spec for the drivelines
