Getting too excited

I feel like such an idiot. Pulled the carburetor off because it just bogged when I throttled it, I just put a remanufactured carb last year. Had some issues with it not going into reverse. Well got the carburetor back on and forgot to tighten the fuel line. Fires it up to back up and it went boom. Got the fire out so now I have to get it cleaned up and see what kind of damage I did. The stern drive won’t go up, who knows what else

There but for the grace of God, Twisted. Feeling your pain. I once had an engine bay fire using ether starting fluid. Very scary.

Thanks, hopefully I can get it going by next season. Right now my wife is upset, not just about this but other things as well.
