getting started

been away from the sport of fishing too long, now have the time and in the market for a new rig for saltwater fishing. noticed a "lead warning" on some rods and am puzzled.can anyone explain and give some recommendations.

First.... Welcome to Iboats. <br /><br />While I can't help with any saltwater setups I'm sure someone will help out.<br />About the "lead warning" , it seems to be on everything out there. In fact, I'm looking at a bobber package I just bought, it says<br />

This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer & birth defects. Do not place hands in mouth after handling product. Do not place the product in your mouth. Wash your hands after touching the product
