Hi fellas,

I want to replace the wheel bearings in the old boat trailer I just bought. Is there a way I can buy them and get the right size before I pull the old one's out? The wheels are 14" if this helps. Also, the caps on there right now have a grease fitting to pump grease in, are these bearing buddies? They look pretty old and look to have been leaking for some time. The trailer is a '72. I already checked out the very helpful link on replacing bearings. Thanks.

Billy

No you can not get the right size before you take them off. You must match them as I have found several times in the past. It will save you time by doing so. Also, measure the new ones and olds ones at the shop to be sure. Do to heating and use, they can change. Luck be a lady tonight.
