I have about 5 gal of 4 year old 2 stroke mix sitting in the outboard tank.. There is no disposal site in my area and I need to get rid of it. Does anybody know if I could mix it with about twice as much fresh gas in my car and run it? or would that screw up the injectors or something else?

That is what I usually do with stale gas. the gas will still work, where the problem is, is when it evaporates, and the solids (or whatever is left after evaporation) gums up every thing. :D :D

First give it the smell test. If it smells foul don't put it into any kind of motor. If it smells OK I would not hesitate to put it into a lawnmower or other like "thing" but I would not put it into a car unless the car was made before they started cramming them full of sensors and computers. Todays automotive engines are very sofisticated pieces of machinery and it would be a shame to screw up your motor for 5 gal of old gas.

Call the local EPA office. I had a question about antifreeze disposal, and they told me...to dump it in the toilet! No kidding.

They told you to dump it in the toilet? I have an old lawnmower engine with a really quiet muffler I use to burn off old gas. It smokes a bit with 2 cycle oil though...

4 yr. old gas? Dont burn it in any motor. Start your bonfire with it.
