Hi everyone-

I currently own a 220 Sundeck, but now I want some speed and noise from Baja. I want a boat that will go fast, but also let me friends ski behind also. I'm looking at the 242 and 247 Baja Islanders that I can get a caption's choice Corsa exhaust for. I'm leaning more towards the 247, but what is the big difference of these two?? Any comments from current or previous owners would be greatly appreciated as I'm brand new to the Baja marine world. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

P.S. I live in Virginia and I see reports of these boats doing 65-70 with a 375hp motor, but boat test says only 60.1 mph..............

Baja's are great boats. I had one for 10 years with no issues at all. Not a single spider crack or gel coat blister and the boat was black with red stripes. I took the 20 footer thru some pretty nasty waves and it would jump out of the water and bite right in and keep going. Lot's of fun with the thru hull exhaust.
