It's a mercruiser 3.0This isn't a Chap issue, it's a motor issue
What motor do you have and I'll move it?
original motor had cracks in head and block, after rworking new motor it seems to run good, does motor have to run at full throttle to get it on plane or does adjustment of power trim have anything to do with it.Were getting closer, moved to Merc
Do you have the motor serial number or the year?
Why was the motor removed?
Has timing been checked?
Is the throttle cable opening the carb fully (assuming carb motor)?
That depends on the health of the motor and the weight of the boat.original motor had cracks in head and block, after rworking new motor it seems to run good, does motor have to run at full throttle to get it on plane or does adjustment of power trim have anything to do with it.
It was a motor from another boat, had cracks in block that i welded uo and ran on test stand before putting in my boat seem to ran good. That depends on the health of the motor and the weight of the boat.
Not knowing if the motor is new Reman or old one removed from another boat can change expectations. If it's a Reman then compression is good, but if it is one from another boat, then it may be worn out.
Yes. Assuming your motor is healthy (welded up cracks are not healthy)does motor have to run at full throttle to get it on plane or does adjustment of power trim have anything to do with it.
Its and older boat with points, welded up block compression numbers were above 150Yes. Assuming your motor is healthy (welded up cracks are not healthy)
The 3.0 has to be at full throttle and the drive has to be fully down.
After the boat starts to come out of the hole, you can start raising the drive, and once you are up on plane you can start backing off the throttle
What are the compression numbers in all cylinders?
Is this an older motor with points, or a newer motor with electronic ignition?
