general outboard repair section

you have a "general outboard (no repair)" forum but that is where many repiar questions are posted. Then you have the brand-specific forums for repairs but they aren't used much.
For that reason, a question about fuel, lower units, batteries, performance, lower units, go into the general outboard because brand doesn't matter; my Yam L/U is the same as my Johnson's.

I think you should either take out the "non-repair" or say "general performance/maintenance" or have a seperate "general repair/maintenance/performance" forum. If it's brand-specific it can move.

I think we as Mods could probably monitor the Non Repair O/B section better because there are times questions are posted in that forum which should be posted somewhere else. We catch a bunch, but not all. As far as L/Us, most don't know one brand can be the same as another. So those questions still need to fall under brand specific.
