how long does it take to set up? i have had my block halfs togather for about 8 hours and it still fills wet around the out side edge.

It will only dry where there is no air, if you used primer/clean.. about 30 minutes. if not 24 hours. but it will always be soft where there is air.

We've had race motors apart and fired em up as soon as they were back together. Sometimes a couple hours after appling Gel Seal. No problem.

One thing I have found with gel-seal is that the surface must be perfectly clean with all old traces of gel-seal removed. I buy the small tubes, and only use fresh un-opened tubes for each engine. You can also make up a black-lite to make sure the surface is clean, and be sure to use the primer.
