I have several repairs to make on a 1991 Hunter Sailboat (only sailed on freshwater lakes); Several Deck screw holes and cracks plus minor splits in both my Rudder and Keel ... all filling will be done with White Marine Tex but expecting that any filled areas should be covered over with Gel Coat? Being a 4+ hour drive away from any major Marine Chandler Outlet, I heavily rely on online shopping for my Marine supplies. I am considering 2 possible products both from Evercoat Gel-Kote; Premium OR One Step. Can someone please advise which of these might be best for this repair project? Are there any other considerations I should be aware of specifically between the Tex and Gel Coat? Is a Primer required? What about Farring? Thanks in advance for any advice.
