Gear shift rod pin

Hello,

I seemed to drop my pin and my grass ate. I spent a good long while looking for and even had an extra set of eyes helping. I understand the forum is no place to do business but can someone point me in the right direction?

What Make/Mode/Year of engine? Why would a pin from Home Depot or Etc not work (the correct dia and length) ? To be bent, is that saying you have excessive resistance and is this common with your model?

Are you referring to part number 66 in the diagram below. The coupling pin that has a cotter pin that goes through it to hold it in place?

1/8 inch stainless cotter pin will do in a pinch.
