Gear Oil Type For 69 Sportster 25

I probably really need to break down and buy a PDF version of my owners manual... That being said, though, what gear oil do I need to buy to change the oil in my motor? I've searched the net but cannot find anything for this particular outboard. I would also like to know how much - from what I understand you pump from the bottom until it starts to flow from the top and then let it sit 10 minutes and give it another few pumps until it leaks out the top again, but am not sure if that's the proper method or not.

Any marine grade 80-90wt gear lube will be fine in that motor. The owners manual will call for OMC Type "C" which was needed for their larger motors with electric shift at that time. Your filling procedure is correct.

80 w 90 marine gear lube. And yes you fill from the bottom until it comes out the top.
