Gear Oil leaking out of Water Intake

Noticed my 30hp Nissan has gear oil leaking out of the water intake. Left about a 6" spot on the driveway. Last time I ran the engine was to flush with muffs with some salt protector for running in salt water. Don't believe it was leaking prior to that. I'm assuming I've blow a seal between the gearcase and water pump. Any suggestions?

Is it black oil or is it gray or amber?

More of an amber color. Looks almost like motor oil.

Probably a propshaft seal, but you need to have someone pressure test the lowerunit.
