Gear Lube shelf life

I have a a bottle of mercruiser gear lube thats about 1.5 years old. Can someone tell me what the shelf life is. I have to pour some in the monitor. Thanks

As long as moisture didn't get in it, the simple answer is the shelf life is indefinite.
