Gear lube for 40 hp Electric

I have a 40hp electric Johnson serial no 40EL748..

The problem is im not sure if this gear lube is ok for this motor. I have this Quicksilver high performance gear lube.. took a few pics of the bottle..

The guy who sold me this lube said it was fine for this outboard.. after reading the back of the bottle says not to use on OMC electric shift gear cases.. my question is this gear lube ok for this outboard?

Use it, it is good stuff. Your 1974 Johnson is not electric shift, so not to worry.
