Was wondering which Tohatsu gear box part wears out faster if any in the 9.8-30 HP model range, provided that oil changes are done periodically and properly geared while at idle ? Which parts should one stock if any ?
Odds are the B pinion gear wears faster than the A and C bevel gears. But with proper maintenance, (lube and seal changes) they will last many decades.
