Gaz gauge

My gaz gauge jumps up and down about a quater tank when on water, is this normal, could it be the little rocking of the boat.

That's normal. It's just a plastic float moving around in the tank, so it's never stable unless the boat is perfectly still...And the angle of the boat is constantly changing which adds to the readings being off when moving..
