Here are the two gauges I have. The tach is already hooked up. I'm 90% sure it is hooked up to the ignition switch. All three wires are going to the ignition switch. I have posted pics of the two gauges. If you can tell me which wires go where for hooking up the fuel gauge would be apprciated. Also whats the best way to troubleshoot my fuel sender and gauge? If you can give me step by step that woul be awesome. Thanks alot

Only the power wire would be connected to the ignition switch.

I = Ignition 12v Power
G = Ground
S = Sender

The Tach "S" wire will go to the Ignition Spark Coil lead that connects to the points.

The Fuel "S" Wire will go to the Fuel sender.
The other wire at the sender will connect to ground.
Disconnect the Fuel "S" wire and the gauge will read below EMPTY.
Touch the "S" Wire to ground briefly and the gauge will swing way over FULL.
The Fuel sender will measure ~240 ohms at FULL, and ~30 ohms at Empty.

These instruction apply to the most common Gauge/Sender.
What make is yours?
