Gauge setting for 86 60hp johnson.

I have a faria Chesapeake SS Black Tack gauge with hours on it. The back has 6 setting.<br />1<br />2<br />3<br />4<br />5<br />6<br />Is that for the number of cylinders, I have a 3 cylinder motor, should I set it to 3?<br /><br />

Switch 6 is for the 6 pulse setting on that tach I believe.
