Faria gauge set
The original trim gauge would never go to the full up position. It would stop at about 1/4 down even though the drive was up. I figured it had to be trim limiters because of the swim platform.
I replaced my original gauge set earlier this season (May) with a new Faria set. Found a good deal and these new ones match the boat much better. The new trim gauge would travel full up to full down, in direction relation to the drive. Meaning, the drive stopped moving right at the "up" and "down" positions. I thought "sweet, guess it was the old gauge."
But when loaded on the trailer and pulling off of the ramp last week, I trimmed all the way up like normal. This time, the gauge stops before going to full up. I trimmed down a little and the gauge moved, so I came back up and same thing. It stops at about what would be 1/4 trim down. On the trailer on land I cannot trim full down so I couldn't check that. I went around back and investigated and the drive is actually all the way up. I'm trying to figure out why the gauge travel would all of a sudden change.
