Gauge On 86 60HP Johnson

Can someone tell me what this gauge is for? I was thinking of replacing it with a presser gauge or a temp gauge. If I put a presser gauge can I just T in to the holes that going to the pee hole?<br />

Neither ... it's a trim and tilt gauge installed 90­° CCW incorrectly.
