I have a 2000 four wins horizon 230 with 5.7 gsi engine. I just took it out of storage, when I started the engine the gage cluster on the dash did not light up and none of the gauges worked. Is their a fuse for the cluster and where would it be? Also is the cluster difficult to remove?

It's just a guessing game but there is generally a fuse panel underneath the console. It might be a good idea to get out the owner's manual and give it a good read to get familiar with your boat.

I had an issue with mine earlier this year. I forgot to reattach one of the grounds to the battery. May want to check that out.

This is a common problem with the VDO cluster's that FW used in the late 90's and early 2,000's. Ground wire is a possibility. Not a chance it is a fuse. All of these gauge clusters WILL fail . They no longer make a replacement for them. You have to make your own with aftermarket gauges.
See this thread for the info.

Thanks to all for a quick reply. I have checked the fuse panel under the helm, and all are okay. I also checked the electrical schematics on my four winns owners manual, and the four winns horizon owners manual. I did find a black wire I traced up to the v do and assuming its a ground wire I connected it to the neg terminal on the battery, and no change what so ever. I think my next step is to remove the vdo assy .There's a very small opening on the back of helm . Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it out? Tks and regards. Fixer.5 Mi
