I have a 36 gallon tank in my 19 foot '86 Cajun bass boat. I'm just curious as to how long a full tank should get me. It's a 115 hp Johnson o/b.

Just give or take. Not sure, so I'm asking, despite feeling a little foolish for asking.

Thanks.

Re: Gasoline Question

Steve,

At cruising speeds (3500-4000 RPM, you should use about 6 gallons per hour.

But who drives a bass boat at 3500 RPM? ;)

Re: Gasoline Question

Steve
The general rule is 10 percent of the HP equals gallons per hour at full throttle. For a 115Hp = 11.5 gallons per hour so about 3 hours at full throttle.
