94 mariner, 60 hp, pulled the side plugs on the carbs to drain them, I'd like new gaskets for the plugs, the ones on it are strange looking and they can't be bought individually, have to by a whole kit and the kits are very expensive. My question, does this plug have to have the original gasket, I've got a box's of Holly kits with gaskets that will fit, does the original gasket serve a purpose, other than keeping the fuel in the bowl?
