gasket question on merc 125hp

when i bolt my 1999 merc 125hp powerhead,0G911197, back onto the midsection, do i need to use some kind of gasket sealer on the new gasket? it is a quicksilver/mercury gasket 27-43007 3.

No sealer. Thats what they say anyway. I like to run a bead of red silicone on them and let it cure completely. Then assemble. .
