What octane gas should I run in a '90 150 Johnson?

The OMC manual calls or 87 octane regular not extended with alcohol. Acceptable is regular or premium with no more than 10% ETHANOL or 5% METHANOL.

If you do a search on "octane" you will find lots of discussion on this point. I think the concensus is that 87 octane is probably the best. It doesn't result in as much carbon build up in the cylinders and is cheaper to boot.<br /><br />Cheers,<br /><br />Brew
