I have a bass tracker classic XL. On the back I have a 40 mercury, and under the back hatch, I have a standard 5 gallon plastic gas can. I was looking to upgrade to a 10 gallon tank yet had no idea where to start looking. The rear compartment is basically an aluminum box and is well ventilated. It most definitely has room for a bigger tank and I was hoping someone who has a clue of what to get can point me in the right direction. I was looking for more of a permanent option yet have no clue what direction to look in. Any insight or advice is appreciated. Thanks.

There are several marine tank makers these days with various sizes / capacities. I pulled a 12 gallon tank for two 6 gallon tanks mainly because of the lack of a carry handle and that's a lot of weight

I wouldn’t mind even upgrading to a 7-8 gallon tank if weight was a concern. I have never used all 6 gallons in a single trip. I am just looking for more of a permanent option to replace the removable 6 gallon red tank. Can you use a aluminum fuel cell?

The weight concern I had was with lifting 12 gallons up and over into my boat, as it is a stepladder is needed to get in while on the trailer. Not endorsing any product here but Moeller and Scepter come to mind on plastic tanks and they make various sizes. If I reconfigured and replumbed my boat a bit I could in theory put that 12 gallon tank back in along with at least one or both 6 gallons. That would be for offshore (not planning that) or a long weekend aboard. You could get aluminum tanks, they come with their own sets of rules, regulations, and mounting parameters. You'd have to surf the 'net for an aluminum tank maker
