Gas tank

Hey, after months of working on a boat given to me by my inlaw I was able to get it running. Took it out 3 times and everything went well except when ever my 6gal gas tank gets to about 2gal left the engine starts but dies as soon as I give gas. I bring a extra 3gal tank and it drove fine after switch tanks. 2gal should be plenty of gas left, gas vent is open the whole time

Sounds like your pick up tube is broken right there.

Agreed. I had a tank come in about a year ago that had a split in the pickup tube. Started sucking air about halfway empty.

Can there be any other issues? Just check the tube on all three tanks and they all look good to me. Looks like there is 3gals left in a 6gal tank and motor can’t get fuel. I’m using Atwood tanks.
