Gas tank vent problem

2004 240 Sundeck with MercCruiser I/O. When I fuel boat it will not take gas at normal rate. Marina advises tank is vented through fuel cap but that would not affect air during refuel. Any ideas would be appreciated.

On my 2004 185 the tank vent comes up to the top of the fill hose. If yours is set up the same you need to check both the vent hose and fill hose for having a kink or being pinched somewhere. Either of these could cause the problem.
