Ok so tonight I got a 95 Baja Blast 90hp jet boat. Had it checked out with flying colors. But I forgot to ask what the ratio was for mixing the fuel & oil. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Gas/Oil Mix....help?

What engine??? If it is oil injected 2-stroke you DO NOT mix fuel and oil. You simply fill the oil tank with two stroke oil and make sure before every use the oil level is at least half full. If the oil injection system has been bypassed, or if the engine is NOT oil injected THEN you mix oil with the fuel and more than likely the mix is 50:1 or if you are math challenged, one pint in six gallons of fuel. I would suggest you open the engine bay and familiarize yourself with what you see.

I know it is a 3 cylinder Mercury and it is not oil injected. I hope to find an owners manual but so far no luck.

just remember to use recommended oil for that motor cheep oil means cheep lubrication, and synthetic oils are mixed at a differant ratio

As Silvertip said, it most likely requires 50:1. Quicksilver oil will do the trick. Should be able to buy it by the gallon at your local Merc dealer, and while you're there getting your first gallon you can verify the ratio. Happy boating.

Re: Gas/Oil Mix....help?

Crappyjack has given incorrect advice. Synthetic oils should be mixed at the same ratio as regular outboard oil and semisynthetic oil. Also, as long as the 2 cycle oil is rated TCW-III, it's cost is immaterial, as it will meet your needs. I do not understand what the term "Cheep lubrication" means.
