i have a 1987 limited edition johnson 200hp my boat has a 30gal tank is that normal or is this tank way to small 1978 manatee 21ft . how many miles should i get out of this set up. thanks for all inputs
For trip planning purposes, 10 gallons out, 10 gallons in, 10 gallons reserve. At 1.5 mpg, a 15 mile trip out and back.
You won't really know your fuel consumption until you run the boat and measure it.
A 30 gal tank is pretty small for a 21 footer. My 21' has a 63 gal tank, and my neighbors is 85 gal. However, if you only plan short trips, you can work it.
