gas line

i have a 57 evinrude 35 hp there is one line with coulper on it that goes to fuel bowl then to carb. one line from carb. to what i belive my be a fuel pump.is that so? also a line comes from the back of engine it looks like it was to go back to the tank is that so? thanks for the help till the manual that i order comes in

Hello.<br />You have a pressure tank system.One hose feeds the fuel from the tank to the glass bowl and the other comes from behind the carburator and goes back to the tank and pressurizes it ,thereby pushing the fuel to the carburator.The other line you mentioned goes to the cutout switch which sits on the portside mounting bracket.This is not a fuel line.<br />Good luck.

thanks rolmops. do i have to prime the line or just hook up and it self prime?

Mine has a small little pump between the handle and the lines on the tank. You pump it with your thumb, it moves only about 1/2 inch. That pumps up the pressure in the tank.

thank you for your help. so i have to get a bulb. there's not one on there. thanks once again i've had this boat for 3years just now have time to do someing to it. glad i found iboats been great help thanks to all

I really dont think you need a primer bulb, wait to hear from the experts, but I think you may be overlooking the pump. It is real small, looks like a screw almost. Or maybe your tank doesnt need priming for some reason.
