gas leak

Hi have 1955 5.5 hp johnson with a pressure tank. last time i ran it in a tank the connection between the tank and the motor was leaking LIKE CRAZY. So I got a bucket and put it under the gas line and ran it for a few minutes. After I was done thier was a few ounces of gas in the bucket. Is thier anything I can do to fix this. I don want to run out of gas and have to row 2 miles back from fishing spot

Probably needs new O-Rings. Tiny little suckers in the female fitting.

About the o-rings - Sierra makes some replacements, but beware, they are slightly larger than the OMC replacements and fit is not as good. Best go for the OMC.
