Re: Gas in the crankcase

hey jojo, don't know if this will help much but is the electric pump the only one? I have a 79 Chriscraft scorpion and it has a mechanical pump on it. with the mechanical pump, if the diaphram goes bad you can get gas in the crankcase. not a good thing. I carry a spare all the time.

Re: Gas in the crankcase

I have a block mounted diaphram pump but it's not in use. The person I bought the boat from said he could not keep a diaphram pump in it, and the cost was steep. so he went electric.
