I recently got a 1976 6hp Evinrude motor and gas tank. I need a gas hose from the tank to the motor. The gas tank has a 3 prong fitting and the motor has a 2 prong connection. Does anyone know where I can get one or is there anyway to use a modern hose to connect them?

You can buy it right here. Its an OMC hose and there are no versions any more modern that that.

Just to verify, post pictures of both ends.

A 3 prong fitting ?-----Does it have an air and fuel hose in one assembly ?----An older pressure tank can not be used on a 76 model with a fuel pump.----You need a single hose and correct fuel tank.

I have that connection on my fishing boat. Mine has two prongs. You can get them here but they are sold almost every where. I bought one last year at my local shop.

It is essentially the same fitting.----Standard OMC / Johnson / Evinrude hose fits both tank and motor shown in these pictures.

My local Marina does not have the 3 prong fitting like is on the tank. Do 2 prong fittings work on the tsnk?

Any Johnson Evinrude hose that you can buy today should fit.

Upgrade that 45 year old metal gas tank to plastic while you're at it.

If the tank is in good condition. In my opinion changing that metal tank for a plastic tank is not an upgrade.
