This seems like a simple thing but i am going to ask before leaping here. As posted my gas gauge is bouncing all over. (fluttering) I am assuming this is the sending unit in the gas tank (electrical sorry)

The ground seem's to be very good, is there any way to confrim this without just buying part's and replacing them haphardly?

Re: Gas gauge running amuck

You could take the sending unit out of the tank and check it with an ohm meter. One lead on ground and the other on the center post where the hot wire goes. As you raise and lower the float, the reading should change smoothly.
