Gas filter

I want to change my fuel filter before winter and on the engine itself, it is written part # 3847644

In the operator's manual, they say part # : 3862228

Engine : Volvo Penta 4.3 GXi-J
Serial : 4012251919

What's right ????

I'd find the part number that is on the unit already, the other one will work, the 2228 version is a shorter element. If you were to buy a new fuel pump assembly it would come with longer unit like you have now.
