gas coming out of Everywhere!

I have a 1992 Evinrude 50 2 stroke. I took the air box cover off to decarb and gas was coming out of the carbs jest about everywhere. It was coming out of the carb throats( the top was worst then the bottom) and they were two jet looking things on the top of each carb which gas way pulsing out of( it was worst on the top them the bottom). What on earth causes this? How do I fix it? What are the jet looking things that gas is pulsing out of on top?

sounds like a faulty needle or a faulty float. Remove carb, blow through gas line leading to carb. With carb upside down, you should not be able to blow into the carb.

what are those jett looking things on the top of the carbs and what do they do?

I believe they are overflow vents.
