Garmin v. Hummingbird base maps

I'm trying to decide between a Garmin GPSMAP 421s and the
Hummingbird 587ci. The features and price are about a wash for me so my deciding factor is maps. Which one has a better base map for inshore/nearshore? Mainly fishing Tampa Bay to Charlotte Harbor and an occasional central florida lake. Thanks.

For near shore /inshore it's no contest. The Garmin comes preloaded with their Bluechart G2

I have a Garmin. Have never used the hummingbird, but do love the Garmin and would recommend it. The only complaint i have is when the GPS is on the split screen mode for the GPS, you cant zoom each map independently.

Other than that. The thing is amazing!
