Anyone have this unit? Thoughts?
I am between this, the Standard Horizon CP 180i and a used Raymarine A70.
I am leaving toward the Garmin because o the sonar. Here is what it says on the site:
Where applicable, the sounder version, GPSMAP 441s, comes with a powerful dual-frequency transducer that clearly illustrates depth contours, fish targets and structure whether you?re fishing in freshwater or off the coast. The GPSMAP 441 and GPSMAP 441s are also NMEA 2000-certified for easy connectivity with sensors, instruments and future marine offerings.
What do they mean by where applicable? To get this to work do i just need to mount the transducer on the hull and i will be able to get a read of the ocean floor?
Thanks for the help.
