Looking at a new fishfinder. Have had Garmin before and am looking at these two. Does anyone have a preference. It seems the big difference is size and TFT versus QVGA screens. What is the difference between those screens?

The biggest difference is that the 400C is a dual frequency unit. but your question was about screens so here's my thoughts.

The difference in resolution 230 vs 234 isn't even worth worry about and it wouldn't matter to me one bit if the screen iis XVGA if you can't see it becouse it's so tiny.

I'd take the 4" x 3" 256-TFT screen over a 2.5" x 3.3" QVGA in a heart beat.

Thanks, I was leaning that way and you convinced me. The biggest problem I had was with the TFT vs. QVGA. I didn't know if there was a big difference. I once bought an older color GPS and I could not see anything in daylight so it was worthless to me.
