Garmin 240 Transducer Wiring/Plug Question

OK- I have a Garmin 240 fishfinder with 13 plugin points on it-
It is attached to the transducer + a speed paddle wheel (seperate mounts)
I want to use it in anouther boat but only want the transducer (don't care about the speed option)-
So can i just install a transducer with a 6-7 pin hookup cable for the 240 on the other boat & be good as for as fishfinder mode?
Apreciate info before i order anything

Yes as long as the xducer is compatible with the Garmin 240. I know at one time you could get just the xducer without the speed and temp sensors.
