My new to me boat came with this unit. I gave it a quick check during sea trial. Winterized boat after sea trials. Can anyone that owns or have owned this model comment? Is it worth keeping?
Thanks in advance!
Offshore 22

BTW this is my first post on this site. Lots of good information here!

Re: Garmin 160 F/F

Hey Offshore I picked one of these up at WalMart early this last summer and put it on my boat (replaced a bad Hummingbird unit). Once I got the transducer angled right I've been real happy with it. Use it in salt water in Narragansett Bay and it tracks real well, depths up to 160' (max depth in the bay) while I'm going 30mph. Seems to find fish pretty good also.
According to the Garmin website, this is a discontinued model, but its a good one. You have a manual? I guess I'd say its a keeper if working good.
