Gamefisher not spittign water!

I just installed a new impeller and waterpump on my 90's model Mercury Gamefisher 15hp and its not spitting water. It looks like a little bit of water is slowly dripping out the exhaust. Can anyone give me some information on why it isn't forcefully spitting out water??? Thanks!

how long did you run it. Sometimes the thermostat needs to get hot enough to open up. The impellar could have been put in wrong too.

Have you checked the inlet also the outlet on some motors is a favorite for mud daubers and other insects.

UPDATE! I took the motor apart and resealed the gaskets and added more marine grease to the impeller. It still wasn't spitting water. When i put a hose directly into the intake, is when it started to spit water alot better. but when it is running in water without the added pressure it isn't spitting. As far as the impeller, all the "teeth" are going in the same direction... This is starting to get really aggrivating!


***Does anyone have a 30 to 40 hp tiller for sale?!

If your testing in a tank be sure the water is up to the bottom of the mounting bracket.
