gallons used gauge

Im tryin to find out exactly what this is called so i can get one for my boat. My friends boat has a digital gauge that tells him how many gallons of has he has used. I would like to get one as fuel gauges are never right. Thanks.

They do a little more than you were asking for but are kinda expensive. I just fill up each time and I know how long we were out. I can come within a couple of gallons of how much we actually used everytime. I use 4 gallons an hour if we swim a lot and 5 if we cruise a lot. On an average day we stay out 4 hours and use 18 gallons.

I have been using a Lowrance LMF200 with a fuel flow probe for 5 years. It's better than 99% accurate.

Easy enough. When it starts to get close to 1/4 it's time to head in.
Plus another 3 gallons in a plastic tank under the seat just for confidence.

Sometimes the K.I.S.S. method is the best!
