I have water coming out from the cylender head on my gale 3hp.What type of gasket do I use?

Need model/serial number to really help you. It's on a metal tag on top of transom bracket.

Yea, a model and serial number will help. Some old motors were made to have water squirt out of funny places:D

That is not actually a cylinder head, only a water cover. It was sealed at the factory with some unknown product and was not intended to be removed, so there is no gasket listed.

However, after 50 years, we have to do what we have to do, right? You can probably reseal it with some Aviation Permatex, the thick kind that comes in a toothpaste tube. And/or, make your own gasket. Or a combination of both.

yea, I had a 5 hp a little later than this, that was set up the same way. It struck me as odd, when all other OMC's aren't set up this way.:confused:
