Having more than 1 motor in parts causes me confusion sometimes even though I try to separate into ziploc bags when taking them apart. I am putting my 3D17 back together and have three thick washers that I am not sure where they came from. They about an 1/8 inch thick, about 5/8 in diameter with a 1/4 " hole. It seems that when taking motor apart they were on the top of the flywheel, maybe. under the flat plate under the ratchet. this does not make sense. or maybe they were under the tank on top of the brackets. they are dirty making me think they are tank mount spacers, but I don't quite recall, even tho I gave up drinking two years ago.
This is a sea king three, 1961, same as a bucaneer. If anyone has recently worked on one of these motors let me know. The parts list shows washers under the tank so maybe thats where they came from.

ive got a gale 3d19b here, at a quick glance there appears to be two washers on top of the tank bracket that i can see. combined they are 1/8 thick and the id is just slightly larger than 1/4, the od is very close to 5/8. this motor appears to have four mounting locations for the tank tho.

They are spacers, go under the tank, four of them, for four tank mounting bolts.
